Here we see the entire booth wall. The window in
the center is for the stage manager and light board operator. On either
side of the booth are follow spot windows. The mess of wires in the wall
to the left are from the old sound system. See below. The wall on the
right (ladder) is the wall that we plan to mount the sound system's amps
and patch panels. Sound Wiring
What a mess. This is what's left from the school's old sound
system. The Dept. of Ed. is installing a new PA system using some of these
old wires. After they are done, we may pull some additional mic lines via
the existing conduit.
This wall has two empty conduit lines running to back stage.
A 1" and a 3/4". The box in the wall near the 3rd step down on
the ladder is the 3/4" conduit. The 1" conduit is just behind a
hole in the wall above the ladder. That's where all those mic cables are
running now.
The booth is still a bit of a mess. It was much worse before
the kids attacked it. We're working on getting a bunch of computers to
create an AutoCAD lab.
