The platform starts out in it's stored position. Jessica & Elizabeth prepare to push the unit out into place. Jessica's left hand is on a handle made from a dowel. The platform half way out. The crew is shielded from view by facing mounted on the large platform unit over head. Elizabeth pulls on the trick line to get the platform to start swinging out. As soon as the platform starts it's swing out, Jessica starts pulling back on the 2x4 to "dock" the platform up against the outer wall. Elizabeth also pulls on the trick line to pull in the far end of the unit. The track is made from a couple of strips of 3/4 ply screwed to the floor. While the operator is pushing or pulling, they are also pushing the 2x4 down to the floor. This keeps the wood from jumping out of the track. This is the platform from stage left. It shows the platform up against the facing.
