Book Description
Reflecting not only the author's theories
and experience but the prior input of dozens of other stage managers,
fight choreographers, pyrotechnicians, and directors, this text is a
long-overdue introduction to the art of stage managing. It provides the
guidelines and instructions needed by a beginning stage manager and
provides 40 forms to help organize time and activities as well as a
notation system to minimize difficulty with blocking and to make
blocking notes more readable.
It covers every area of the rehearsal process with a notation system
beyond any other. Her prompt book layout is extreamly advanced and not
needed for smaller theatres but a great thing to know about. The best
part of her book is her list of what to do for the entire production
process. It lists everything with forms in the appendix to use also.
