Book Description
Stitch miniature masterpieces for an authentic-looking Georgian dolls' house! These magnificent needlework designs, based on actual accessories and furnishings, have been simplified for small-scale sewing, and appear in the popular 1/12" size. 40 projects include carpets, bedcovers, hangings, curtains, cushions, screens, samplers, chair covers, footstools, and pictures, all with full-color charts or stitch diagrams, suggestions for alternative fabrics, and a table of approximate sizes and thread count for easy conversion to 1/24" scale. 192 pages (all in color), 8 1/4 x 10 3/4.
With no embroidery experience, I have been able to recreate some beautiful period pieces from this book. We are presented with an excellent range of Georgian items; from firescreens to stair carapets to samplers. They are surprisingly easy to do; just a little time consuming.
