The MAFIA from any school will often be your connection to future jobs. Who you meet during college may be you best connections in any business. The MAFIA will be far reaching. If you were to call a graduate from your school, they would already know what type of education you've received.

When I was looking at NYU, I called several NYU graduates and asked them "how has being an NYU Grad. helped you? What type of job opportunities are out there?"
The answer I often received was basically, if you were to call me looking for work, I could recommend you to others because I know your knowledge. I know what you had to learn in order to complete your program.

This is what a college MAFIA is about.
