The Stage
Management Handbook
Daniel
A., IonazziTraci Ross(
tena@wnclink.com) from Marion, North Carolina , November 28, 1998
A great reference book!
I keep buying this book for friends who want to make Stage Management their career. It has
great pointers, forms, glossaries and a complete look at what you are getting yourself into
when you agree to stage manage even a community theatre production. It is cheaper than the
Lawrence Stern book, which is also an EXCELLENT book. |

Stage
Managing and Theatre Etiquette A Basic Guide
by Linda

A MUST read for the beginning stage manager!!
Great guide for beginners-enjoyable, quick read. Down-to-earth. It could serve an
experienced stage manager because of it's emphasis on inter-personal relationships
backstage and their effect on the production. Other books on the subject don't deal as
well with the authority issues that stage managers must contend with. This book could be a
text for Intro to Theatre classes at the high school or college level. I wish I'd read it
when I was starting out. |
